Recently, many individuals have been arriving at coaching sessions with an unsettling feeling of impending doom. This phenomenon is increasingly recognized as a psychological barrier impacting productivity and well-being.
In my recent article at BetterUp, I write about how this sense of dread can stem from various sources, including heightened stress, uncertainty in personal or professional life, and the pressure of looming deadlines.
Coaching professionals are noting that clients are often overwhelmed by a pervasive anxiety that seems to cloud their ability to focus and engage fully. This feeling can affect decision-making and overall performance in the workplace.
By acknowledging these fears and working through them, as coaches, we can help clients regain their confidence and better manage their stress.
