Hey everyone! Just wanted to share some information about the Peer Review Interview steps for those who are on their IPD journey.
The Peer Review Interview is the final step in the process, where candidates will be interviewed by a panel of CMIOSH/CFIOSH volunteers.
During the interview, candidates will need to deliver a 10-minute presentation. Don't worry, a sample presentation will be provided when you book your interview.
The panel will also ask candidates the IOSH core competency questions to assess their knowledge and application of health and safety practices.
Now, let's talk about some dos and don'ts for the interview. First, question sets cannot be shared with the candidate, so make sure to prepare well in advance. Secondly, when answering the core questions, remember to use "I" instead of "we" to showcase your individual expertise. And finally, candidates are not allowed to take notes into the interview, so be sure to practice and be confident in your knowledge.
Now, let's move on to the results. If you are successful in the Peer Review Interview, congratulations! You will be transferred to Chartered status and notified within 21 days. You will also receive a CMIOSH certificate and Badge, which is a great achievement.
However, if you are unsuccessful, don't worry. You will be informed in writing within 21 days, along with feedback from the panel. The referral time is 12 months, so you can take some time to improve and reapply.
