Navigating the Path from Reflection to Aspiration in 2024
As I delve into my personal and professional aspirations for 2024, a serendipitous Facebook reminder of my 2017 journey as a Technical Founder at TechnoTroop offers both nostalgia and profound insights. Despite encountering setbacks in what could be likened to an expensive, self-taught hands-on MBA, those failures have proven to be the catalysts for significant wins.
In distilling the lessons learned, several pivotal principles come to the forefront:
1. Singular Focus: The importance of dedicating efforts to a single goal rather than spreading oneself thin across multiple endeavors.
2. Strategic Investments: The necessity of prudent resource allocation, avoiding the peril of placing all savings in a single venture.
3. Strategic Partnerships: The power of cultivating partnerships that complement weaknesses and fortify overall capabilities.
4. Swift Funding: The imperative of securing timely funding to fuel sustained growth.
5. Scalability Strategy: The need for a well-defined strategy when scaling operations, steering clear of hasty expansions.

One glaring revelation was the absence of a clear company vision — a foundational misstep that hindered progress. The initial ambition to straddle both product-based and outsourcing service provision proved untenable. Our endeavors involved developing in-house products while concurrently offering outsourcing services to a global clientele.
Today, my professional identity bears the imprint of these transformative experiences. At the helm of KrispCall , an organization that has flourished despite challenges, the journey has been one of continuous growth and resilience. Transitioning from a team of 30, including 8 software engineers, to a mid-sized entity boasting 150 professionals, including 50 engineers and key managerial roles, we've fortified UI/UX, Support, Sales, Marketing, and Operations. This collective effort has resulted in the delight of 2 million users and the satisfaction of over 1500 customers.
Taking on the role of Head of Engineering was initially nebulous, demanding the definition of responsibilities and the wearing of multiple hats. The challenge was substantial, but the rewards justified the effort. Streamlining the engineering function, we identified key vertices — People, Product, Project, Process, and Technology — clarifying roles, designing growth plans, and fostering a clear career path. This strategic approach empowers us to set priorities, establish goals, and contribute to shaping the company's vision.
As the engineering team matures in tandem with organizational needs, my entrepreneurial journey is poised to expand into Channel Sales under the guidance of Dinesh Silwal , KrispCall's co-founder. The specifics of this role are currently in formulation, and I invite you to stay tuned for updates.
Expressing gratitude for the blessings of 2023, I extend heartfelt thanks to the KrispCall team and the supportive LinkedIn community. The shared moments, memories, and insights have been invaluable. With anticipation, I look forward to the challenges and personal growth that 2024 promises.
Here's to a successful 2024, Anit! Let's soar together to greater heights! ??
