Hey there, empathic explorers!

Whether you've recently discovered your empathic nature or you're just curious about these terms, you're in for a ride! Let's start by uncovering what these empaths are all about.
The Lowdown on Empaths
Empaths, in general, are individuals who possess a heightened sensitivity to the emotions and energy of people around them. They can often absorb these emotions, sometimes to the point of feeling overwhelmed. But that's where the similarities end! Sigma and Heyoka empaths bring their own flavor to the empathic party.
Sigma Empath: The Silent Observers
Sigma empaths are the silent observers of the empathic world. They possess an uncanny ability to pick up on subtle energies and emotions, even when others might not notice a thing. They're like emotional ninjas, silently detecting what's really going on beneath the surface.
Heyoka Empath: The Mirror of Truth
Heyoka empaths are like the cosmic jesters of the empathic realm. They have an innate ability to reflect back people's emotions in a way that's, well, unconventional. They're truth-tellers who use humor and paradox to help others see things from a fresh perspective.

These articles are not meant as boxes or labels, I hate those :) They are meant to give you more insight into yourself and to discover more of the puzzle pieces that make up you!
You don't have to be one or the other, you can be a mix of both like me!

Whatever might be the case, you are perfect just the way you are, don't ever forget that!
And if you need some help or someone to talk to, I am just one virtual coffee away :)
Have a great day today!

1 年This is incredibly interesting, I actually didn't realise there were types within the Empath definition. I think I'm a blend of both, naturally inclined towards Sigma but prefer when I'm in Heyoka mode. The idea of being an "emotional ninja" made me smile, and goes beautifully with what Josh Speraneo says about us highly sensitive folks being "supercomputers".
