Navigating The IN-BETWEEN – PART#1
I felt intuitively compelled to write this today for I am witnessing a high majority of people on the planet right now who are struggling with navigating what I call the ‘in-between’.
As a leadership coach spanning 2 decades and having been in the leadership trenches for 3+ decades I have witnessed many situations, circumstances where leaders experience GREAT FRUSTRATION with navigating what I call ‘The In-Between’ times in our leadership journey that quite frankly infuriates the bejesus out of us…what do I mean you might ask?
Those times when:-
·????????You are doing EVERYTHING you feel is humanly possible to produce the results you are standing for personally and or professionally and yet the results still remain elusive
·????????You are eliciting support, willing to invest in receiving external advice, leveraging wisdom and expertise from those in the know, BUT still nothing is shifting to the magnitude you feel is warranted
·????????You are being disciplined like a ninja, being your word like its gospel, maintaining consistency to the letter and yup absolute NADA is changing
I could go on but I think you get the gist…

It is tempting at these times to compare yourselves to others and feel completely deflated because you know you are putting in more effort, being more disciplined, feeling more dedicated… leaving you feeling like someone has put a curse on you…
I also led my own 3 day leadership retreats for 10 months of the year for 10 years, one hell of a case study and there were common themes that came through time and time again relating to this dynamic.?95% of most millionaires and billionaires that I have coached were not happy, not satisfied, and yet supposedly had everything.?Then 95% of those who wanted what these people had lived into:?This isn’t IT yet, there is somewhere else to get and when I get THERE it will be better then????This is a human dynamic if you haven’t noticed.?This is why I believe the biggest addiction on the planet is DISSATISFACTION.?I would ask, where is this place called ‘there’??There is only the NOW moment and you are hardly ever here….
If you are experiencing this dynamic I believe the following is occurring:-
Next week I will release PART 2 of this article providing a summation of advice for those experiencing these ‘in-between’, moments – NOTE:?This is only my personal and professional opinion, not gospel..stay tuned for next week – but for now will leave you with this gem:
REALISE that what you are tolerating might just be what you LOVE, yup I said it…Commitment = Results, and if you are not experiencing the results you desire maybe just maybe what’s become acceptable has become inevitable.?Whatever you language as ‘you hate this’, or ‘you feel frustrated by this’, is actually what you love for this is where the results are being produced – never easy to come to this realisation BUT this is also where the breakthrough can be accessed…
Till next week…

2 年What a brilliant piece of writing, Sally Anderson - Leadership Coach To The Influencers! I especially loved numbers two and four. The astrological planetary influences have all slowed down and will not speed up until the end of the year. 2 年We are in the process of raising growth capital to go to the next level globally. The most important thing for the investor is to fully understand not just the business plan / IM but the psychology of the entrepreneur. I’m not talking about do you like the person, can you work with them, are they confident, can they achieve projections etc etc, it’s actually to unravel the deep psychological constructs that may be limiting the entrepreneur. It’s been interesting too to meet investors who also lack self awareness, are controlled by their ego and carry with them stories and judgements that are simply untrue. Why is it that women only get less than 3% of the available venture capital globally, yet make up more than 50% of entrepreneurs? Crazy number. Enjoyed the article Sally as I know many people in this moment before greatness working their guts out and open to influence and insight along the way. And it’s tough, so a daily post like this gives homage to that. Thanks..

2 年Fabulous share, Sally. I was looking forward to this since you mentioned it during the call yesterday. When you say, at the end of the article, “REALISE that what you are tolerating might just be what you LOVE,??” it reminds me of “Existential Kink”, do you know this book? The concept is that we get off on the stuff we say we dislike. Like you say - a part of us is addicted to it all. We secretly love it. And perpetuate it. But won’t admit it…. I have so much to say about this, and the constant confronting work involved here. Common philosophy is to “accept” it, but this feels trite. Sometimes it feels like a bypass. Just accept it! I think there’s more to it. I’m curious to hear your experience and philosophy. ????
