Navigating the Holiday Breaks with your Children

Navigating the Holiday Breaks with your Children

Take a moment to imagine your ideal holiday break. What does it look like?

Odds are, your child has a fairly different vision for their ideal break. Perhaps they are envisioning no curfews, unlimited tv time, full access to their friends, and no discussions about that low grade that they currently have in English.

Frustrations often arise when there are conflicting expectations. But, meals still need to get to the table and that D in English isn't going to disappear.

Here are 3 tips as a starting point for navigating holiday breaks with less stress and conflict from Results Learning.?

My children are grown now, but they are still "my kids" and still have the same learning styles, strengths, and challenges they have always had. I am committed to pausing and listening (and doing less talking) to this holiday break.

Maybe a snowstorm or a power outage to slow everyone down for an evening. Also an evening where devices are put away for the night and board games and classic holiday movies are the focus. Also, if my 16 month old somehow potty trains himself. The Christmas miracle of all Christmas miracles!! : )
