- Networking Opportunities: Building relationships with diverse stakeholders is an area I have touched on recently, it is not easy, but by networking (particularly face to face) deeper relationships can be built.
- Policy Influence: Depending on accessibility, if participants are drawn from a wide ecosystem, a greater range of opinions and perspectives can be shared and hopefully with this direct involvement, can lead to positive changes in international frameworks and agreements.
- Complex Stakeholder Dynamics: Navigating the intricate web of international politics and diverse stakeholder interests can be challenging.
- Implementation Gaps: While conferences produce ambitious agreements, the challenge lies in translating these commitments into concrete actions. Participants often face the hurdle of ensuring that the strategies discussed at conferences are effectively implemented on a global scale.
