Navigating ERP integrations

We know how tricky it can be to figure out whether a solution integrates with your ERP, as little information is available on this. So, Spend Matters recently conducted an ERP survey to simplify tech selection by providing visibility into a vendor’s integrations.

?

This will make the process of discovering whether there is a smoother integration for our subscribers so that they don’t waste their time and money on custom integrations.

The survey covered native ERP integration capabilities and previous non-native integration experiences. For clarity, here's what we mean by native and non-native integrations:

  • With native integrations, your solution seamlessly connects with ERPs using built-in mechanisms like APIs, requiring minimal customization.
  • Non-native integration involves more complex processes, potentially requiring coding or third-party tools to bridge system gaps.

Based on our own research and data on vendor usage, we’ve compiled a list of the top 10 most popular ERPs:

  1. SAP (SAP Business Suite, S/4 HANA, SAP Business One and more)
  2. Oracle (E-Business Suite, PeopleSoft, NetSuite and others)
  3. Microsoft (AX, Dynamics 365, Great Plains, etc.)
  4. Infor (LN, M3, CloudSuite Financials, etc.)
  5. Sage (Intacct, X3, Sage 100, etc.)
  6. Workday
  7. IFS
  8. Epicor (Eagle, Prophet 21, Kinetic, etc.)
  9. QAD (QAD Enterprise Applications)
  10. IBM iSeries

It's no surprise that SAP, Oracle and Microsoft stand out as the frontrunners in native integrations. Over half of survey respondents offer these ERP integrations natively.

Based on this list, we're reaching out to vendors to gauge their native and non-native integration levels with these ERPs and gearing up to include these insights in Insider and TechMatch, our technology intelligence apps.

Keep an eye out for our updates regarding our ERP research. We are excited to be able to bring these insights to the market.?
