Navigating Data Waves: A Reflection on My Internship Journey at Keurig Dr Pepper

As my internship journey at Keurig Dr Pepper Inc. draws to a close, I find myself reflecting on the profound impact it has had on my professional growth and personal development. Over the past months, I've had the privilege of delving deep into the world of data analytics, navigating the intricate intersections of supply chain and finance with guidance from exceptional mentors and colleagues.

One of the most enriching aspects of my internship was the mentorship I received from experienced professionals within the company. Under the leadership of Richard Duge and the guidance of my manager, Cavin Vach , I was empowered to navigate complex data dynamics and refine my analytical skills. I've been immersed in a dynamic environment where learning and growth are not just encouraged but celebrated. Their mentorship has been instrumental in shaping my understanding of complex data dynamics and honing my analytical prowess.

From day one, I was entrusted with meaningful projects that challenged me to apply my skills in real-world scenarios. One such project involved analyzing substitution variance data, where I focused on developing and implementing a framework to capture KPIs and bottlenecks, significantly aiding in identifying the root causes. Leveraging SAP T-codes to connect with Snowflake, I constructed a robust Power BI dashboard, facilitating real-time insights into cost drivers.

Additionally, I established the extraction of Supply Chain cost breakdown (Actuals) 2023 data from Snowflake using SQL queries and integrated it into Power BI using DAX and Power Query. I delved into understanding budgeting processes, performance measurements, and year-wise spending patterns. These efforts culminated in the development of interactive dashboards, empowering comprehensive visualization and analysis and optimizing decision-making processes. I also had the opportunity to work cross-functionally with the supply chain team, gaining valuable insights into their operations and contributing to collaborative initiatives aimed at optimizing processes and enhancing efficiency.

But perhaps what truly made my internship experience memorable were the relationships forged along the way. I had the pleasure of collaborating with incredible colleagues like Marwa Zazay and Nawal Mahmood whose teamwork and shared passion for learning made every project a joyous endeavor. Additionally, I am deeply grateful to HR professionals Alicia Love , Lauren DeLoach , and Shelby Capell , whose support and guidance ensured a seamless and enriching experience throughout my internship.

One such accomplishment I'm particularly proud of is achieving the PL-300 Microsoft Power BI Data Analyst certification, a testament to the dedication and hard work invested during my internship. As I bid farewell to Keurig Dr Pepper and embark on the next chapter of my career, I carry with me invaluable lessons learned and cherished memories. I am reminded of the phrase, "Please consider yourself lucky if you are getting honest (Black & white) feedback from your supervisors at regular intervals. It helps you grow professionally and personally." I am indeed fortunate to have received such honest feedback from Cavin Vach , which has been instrumental in my growth journey.
