Adapting

The timeless saying "April showers bring May flowers" deeply resonates with me. It embodies the power of transformation and how embracing challenges can lead to flourishing results in our business. Even after ten years, my blog's About section still reads: "Your ability to adapt to change (the speed, manner, etc.) will determine your survival. As I adapt, I observe and record the change. Maybe it will help someone else." This belief has guided me throughout my journey and now shapes my approach to leadership, management, and team-building. The seasonal metaphor is a constant reminder to stay focused on the bigger picture and see the potential in every challenge.

Harnessing Energy as Entrepreneurs

Cameron Herold's "The Miracle Morning for Entrepreneurs" highlights the importance of energy for entrepreneurship. By opening an affirmation room every morning at 7 AM CT, I am reminded to walk the talk and practice what I preach. Stretch. Do yoga. Eat well. Sleep well. I learn a lot from Shanee Moret and Shankar Poncelet, who invest emotional and mental energy in caring for the businesses of others. Being part of a supportive community helps high-performing business people succeed faster than going it alone.

The seasonal metaphor about the spring is a constant reminder to stay focused on the bigger picture and see the potential in every challenge. The "showers" – the obstacles and hurdles – are essential stepping stones that ultimately lead to the "flowers" – growth, innovation, and success.

I am grateful to witness significant changes in my business every single day that have brought immense joy to Shankar and myself. We are genuinely happy and fulfilled.

AI Generated Professional Photos? Not Quite There For Everyone.

While AI has made progress, it hasn't yet mastered generating accurate photos for people with highly melanated skin or highly textured hair. I'm usually so quick to rush to anything AI, but I've hesitated to use AI-generated headshots, even though they may work beautifully for others. Thankfully, the talented Chance Jackson held a pop-up photoshoot, allowing us to capture our true selves in beautiful, authentic images during an event with the Kynexions team. (This was a manifestation of what I wrote back in December, by the way!)

Working with Shankar, has been amazing. Together, we've created an environment where our team can grow and succeed. As we stand side by side, Shankar's contagious laughter and warmth make me smile. I'm grateful for his constant support and our teamwork in building success, which starts from home with habits, tenacity, understanding, and more.
