Navigate Unpredictability with Success

Two characteristics show up consistently. They are:

1.???? Being present: focusing on what matters right now;

2.???? Acting on the things we can control or influence

While it’s human nature to ruminate about what we should have done or should ideally do, we can only engage with what is in front of us right now. Everything else is noise.

Among the noise, some signals are worth paying attention to, and many are not.

Consider the signals that evoke strong feelings and explore what the underlying emotions might be.

  • What are they?
  • What’s causing them?

Our work and personal lives are intertwined. Is reticence, such as avoidance, procrastination, or unwillingness, an emotional response to a situation, or is it based on capability?

Exploring and accepting our anxiety about uncertainty helps us to discover what truly matters and consider our options in response.

And now we can move forward.

Everybody wants to make an impact in their work. My mission is to help people achieve extraordinary results by blending a healthy outlook and innovation approaches in every challenge.

I love the focus on presence, John! You’re spot on. I think when we’re able to drown out the noise, some very useful things can suddenly become clear.
