Carbon Emissions Reporting and Offsetting Now Available with Navia
It is of great importance to us that we act as leaders in the freight forwarding and third-party logistics sector, helping our industry mitigate its impact on the environment.
We believe that the responsibility falls on businesses to also lead by example and take action against climate change.
It's been well documented that one of the best ways to combat climate change right now is by carbon insetting or offsetting against the emissions produced.
That's why we recently released our Carbon Emissions Reporting feature within NaviaHub and partnered with Lune to give our customers the option to inset or offset their emissions, by buying credits in only the highest-quality carbon projects.
For more information on what makes a carbon project "high quality", see this article by Lune.

The Dangers of Poor Forecasting
And How to Prevent Them
After a host of blank sailings and unreliable scheduling, supply chain managers who don't forecast face a host of perils.

The most important takeaway here is that supply chains in 2024 are less reliable, and as such, it's important to factor this in when making your shipping plans.
Making bookings a week before vessel departure is a dangerous strategy and will only become more so. Those using a freight forwarding service must plan ahead and forecast their shipments as far into the future as possible or risk being caught either with exceptionally high freight rates or without stock for their customers.
Both of these are equally as devastating and there is a way to mitigate them.
Why Navia API is the King of Integrations
Most in the supply chain space have heard of EDI Integration and are familiar with its benefits. Most have probably also heard of an API, but do you know the difference between the two?
In short, API integrations allow you to put a layer between two systems that formulates the data into one "language" for both to use.
It's a much quicker integration, and it will allow your team to access Navia data within your ERP more quickly than via an EDI.
