It is National Apprenticeship Week and we are putting the spotlight on our fantastic apprentices at Fishers Solicitors.

Meet Lily-Rose! She joined us in September 2023 through the apprenticeship scheme at Loughborough College . We catch up with Lily-Rose to learn about her journey so far...

What motivated you to pursue an apprenticeship in a law firm, and how do you see it shaping your long-term career goals?

When I was younger, I always wanted to enter the legal sector. Starting my apprenticeship allowed me to explore every department at Fishers, making it flexible for my future career path.

Having settled in at Fishers Solicitors, what areas of law are you most excited to explore?

I'm keen to delve into Probate and Trusts as I work closely with both departments.

Walk us through your typical day at Fishers Solicitors.

I start with morning tasks assigned by the staff, then cover reception at noon, assisting clients. After lunch, I handle post-distribution, scanning, and filing related to Wills and Probate. Post tasks, I catch up on college work and pending tasks.

How do you balance studying with your apprenticeship duties?

I dedicate Thursdays entirely to college work. If needed, I allocate an hour at the end of the day to stay on top of assignments.
