Nature's Nurturing... World Nature Conservation Day

Nature's Nurturing... World Nature Conservation Day

When is the last time you have walked barefoot on mud and?grass?

When is the last time you jumped into?to a lake?and enjoyed swimming?

Can you remember climbing a tree to pluck fruits and?flowers .. and sat on a tree for some time enjoying the nature…?

For all city and town fellas,?it is something a sweet memory..

Don't you think?real happiness of life?and life itself, there in the nature !

Our Mother Nature?was a paradise for several poets like Shelly Kits Wordsworth, Rabindranath Tagore, Kuvempu?and so many distinguished poets and literary!

The?absolute masterpiece of creativity?born?out of nature. Nature inspires?and ignites the creativity?within.

Today where are we lost in concrete jungles... clogged by smog. Unfortunately our?most of our kids have not seen nature and wildlife... They are cheated of the pleasure of enjoying in mud and rain... taking shower in water falls ..

Many of us grew up drinking water with?natural purification?while from the mountains. Today water purifiers must as water contamination has gone beyond our control.

Plastic waste engulfing the?soil and sea. Recent study reveals below data points?only in Bengaluru which is quite concerning .

  • Loss of Tree cover- 6.1 % in?ten years as we have lost 10 Hectares?of forest cover
  • Lakes?and water bodies vanishing- 88 lakes with 1307 acres area vanished
  • Ground water depletion – nearly one meter of ground water depleted
  • Air contamination – causing 80% rise in respiratory issues
  • Water contamination – mercury, led, nickel and magnesium levels increasing in water

Friends, can you hear the screaming of mother earth in suffocation? Can you feel the blood tears of nature ?

Let?us take a moment and think what is the root cause of this? We get answers like?urbanization industrialization population growth so on and so forth as the list expands. But?one thing underneath all this is nothing but “our greed?and indiscipline“?which is?separating ourselves from the nature .

So question rises in our mind what can I do to conserve nature ?

Let as all commit?to ourselves on below actions

  • Reduce use of plastic to greater extent in our daily life.
  • Not to?liter in public places?and follow rules laid down by governments and municipal bodies on waste management
  • Grow vegetation individually or taking part in mass movement of such initiatives
  • Finally spread the word, encourage others to do so!

On this auspicious day of nature conservation, I wish above baby steps will lead us towards a giant leap to come out of self-made menace.?
