By nature: A universal being of collaboration

By nature: A universal being of collaboration

So what's supposed to be so hard about collaboration? I am a devout collaborator, always have been, because there are just too many things in life we'll never accomplish by ourselves. Impossible. Period. But most people I meet are always only thinking about "their thing". So it seems that, while often referring to the obvious benefits of collaboration, we don't seriously engage in it. And I think the reasons why we are so hesitant begin as early as in our kindergarten sandbox. What do you think?

I think we are conditioned in society to protect ourselves and be in competition with each other. It builds a fear of scarcity perception that is hard to escape. I focus on our true nature as a universal being of collaboration, as opposed to the transactional doing of collaboration. Once we see ourselves connected to each other by boundless love – our superpower – then we begin to build a society that thrives through collaboration instead of being wary of it. — Gill Tiney
