Natural Gas Pricing
With the first week of November behind us, the rest of November should match the "warmer than normal" predictions.?December 2021 through end of March 2022 should be warmer than normal.
There is sufficient gas in storage to meet winter needs
By the end of November, the storage should be at or above the five year average
No shortage of gas this winter?
However, last winter was supposed to be warm and the cold dropped down into Texas and it was a disaster.?
Nonetheless, the best prediction is we have gas for the winter.
This should result in falling prices.??How soon that happens is a guess.?
A few thoughts:?
World coal prices are high.?As coal and gas substitute for electricity reduction, the gas price won't fall like it should until the coal price falls.?
In some boilers, natural gas can substitute for oil.?With oil prices high, more boilers are using gas.
?These two factors support higher natural gas even though there is sufficient gas for the winter heating season.
