Natural Gas Exports Soar and Now Exceed Imports

The Energy Information Administration (EIA) has determined our natural gas exports exceeded imports for the first time in 2017; the shale revolution at work.

The shale revolution just keeps producing miracle victories and this time its this: U.S. natural gas exports now exceed imports and are soaring as our nation does energy and most others do political correctness. The EIA has the the facts and, although they’re not in the business of bragging on them or telling the bigger story, it’s all there for those who understand what’s happening and compare the U.S. with the rest of the world.

Here’s what we learn from the EIA’s Today In Energy story by Michael Mobilia earlier this week:

The United States exported more natural gas than it imported in 2017, marking the first time since 1957 that the United States has been a net natural gas exporter. The transition to net exporter occurred as natural gas production in the United States continued to grow, reducing pipeline imports from Canada and increasing exports, both by pipeline and as liquefied natural gas (LNG).
