One of the growing trends in Cyber Security already in 2019 is the advanced attacks on cloud environments. There has already been a marked increase in the advanced attacks on native cloud environments and systems, such as containers. Traditionally attacks on containers have targeted the “low-hanging fruit” such as misconfigurations or insecure credentials. However, as container adoption increases, we will likely see even more sophisticated attacks which directly target container architectures and vulnerabilities and the underlying hardware powering cloud platforms and infrastructure.
