Nationwide Begins Exiting Private Client Business
In 2023 Nationwide announced it would exit the Private Client or High Net Worth Business. In late 2024, they began notifying clients and either non-renewing them or offering the ability to roll into the main Nationwide book.
While this may seem like a curious decision to some, it underscores the behavior of larger carriers to focus more on a broader "mass affluent" customer segment instead of the highly specialized high-net-worth market.
