It would be nearly impossible to cover the country using 5G mmWave spectrum, which would only give you limited hotspots of 5G connectivity.

That is why we're building the foundation for our 5G network on our 600 MHz signal.

A single 600 MHz 5G tower covers hundreds of square miles and can reach deep inside buildings.

The other carriers have been focused on speeds by bringing mmWave coverage to very small areas, we already have a fast LTE network, so with 5G we're focused on coverage and reliability first!
