Nationalism Is a Form of Idolatry

Nationalism Is a Form of Idolatry

“You desire and do not have, so you murder. You covet and cannot obtain, so you fight and quarrel. You do not have, because you do not ask. You ask and do not receive, because you ask wrongly, to spend it on your passions. You adulterous people! Do you not know that friendship with the world is enmity with Christ? Therefore whoever wishes to be a friend of the world makes himself an enemy of the Son of Man.”

---James 4:2-4

Former U.S. Marine and best-selling author G. Michael Hopf coined a saying: “Hard times create strong men. Strong men create good times. Good times create weak men. And, weak men create hard times.” If you take a step back and view the news with an unjaundiced eye, you’ll realize that we are governed by weak men.

Following the Napoleonic Wars, a growing secular movement took root throughout industrialized society. With each passing generation, this movement has only grown stronger and more pronounced. Countless men and women have turned their back on Christ to follow hedonistic pursuits. In turn, nihilists have capitalized to advance their own Satanic agendas.

For the third time since the turn of the 19th Century, international banking interests have begun to initiate warfare on a grand scale. The ethnic nationalism that preceded the First World War, and the cultural Marxism that preceded the Second World War are manifesting in combination in nations throughout the world.

Nationalism is a form of idolatry, and it is a practiced form. Global elites foster and encourage nationalism to strengthen their control and foster fear. This was true before the First and Second World Wars, it was true during the Cold War, and it is true once again throughout industrialized nations.

As technology has advanced, so too has the art of war. Through database technology and advanced algorithms, the distribution of propaganda has become a sophisticated science. 24-hour news stations drip repetitive propaganda into the homes of millions worldwide, and audience viewing patterns are analyzed to refine the narratives.

In turn, television storylines and press pieces are tweaked to manipulate public opinion. Worldwide, there are four distinct narratives filtered through four competing power centers, with each power center subliminally preparing their audiences for an ideological conflict now two-hundred years in the making.

Social media and popular forms of entertainment do much the same. Popular thinking and social behaviors are directionally influenced by the powers that control the purse strings within each established nation-state. Few people realize that only a handful of families control the media establishment, and even fewer are aware that they control most of the major international banks.

Christ warned that the end times would be filled with lies and deception. He also cautioned His followers: “See that no one leads you astray.” (Matthew 24:4) Nationalistic pushes are an attempt to do just that: to lead faithful followers of Christ into forms of idolatry and away from Christ’s teachings.

Wars and rumors of wars on a grand scale have already begun. Global leaders have begun to bang the war drums and push for bravado. President Joe Biden’s speech at a NATO summit in Lithuania last week is but one example. Leaders around the world are beginning to reveal their cards. A third global conflict on a massive scale is all but inevitable. The four major global powers and the banking interests that back them up are determined on it.

This push for global calamity hasn’t gone unnoticed. On Thanksgiving Day of 2018, Christ raised the alarm. He sounded the Clarion Call, giving an audible signal to His faithful and His true that demons are advancing and that the Four Horsemen of the Apocalypse were preparing to take wing. In a very real sense, Gabriel blew his horn.

Deep-space sonar stations around the world received this signal weeks later. The signal defied physics and baffled the world’s top scientists and astronomers. Reports of the signal were largely, and deliberately, ignored by the media and by political leaders. Idolators that long ago abandoned Christ’s commands buried the story so as not to alarm the public and pressed forward with their unholy agendas as if nothing happened. (Ezekiel 28:2-5)

Christ warned that the days ahead will offer an “Abomination of Desolation”. (Matthew 24:15). He warned that men and women that have succumbed to demons will attempt to deceive His faithful about His arrival: “Then if anyone says to you, ‘Behold, here is the Christ,’ or ‘He is over here,’ do not believe him.” (Matthew 24:23) He also warned that His faithful and His true will suffer through tribulations unlike any before.

As prophesied, The Four Horsemen of the Apocalypse will deceive all nations in the days to come. For sons and second sons of Israel, men and women of faith redeemed by Christ, it is imperative that we distance ourselves from the drums of war and remain true to Christ’s teachings.

“Go to this people and say,

‘You will keep on hearing, and will not understand;

And you will keep on seeing, and will not perceive;

For the hearts of this people have become insensitive,

And with their ears they hardly hear,

And they have closed their eyes;

Otherwise they might see with their eyes,

And hear with their ears,

And understand with their heart and return,

And I would heal them.’”
