DAR ES SALAAM, TANZANIA: Tanzania National Sports Council (NSC) supports the IBF/Africa’s campaign for people with albinism disorder known as Albinos within its policy framework.

According to Henry Lihaya (Pictured) who is the Secretary General, the National Sports Council (NSC) supports this campaign because it falls within its policy framework and call upon the society to throw its support to this noble campaign.

Mr, Lihaya retaliated that, the NSC is designing among others a program that would utilize sports as a vehicle to educate the society about the gravity and danger of Albino’s persecution.

The NSC Boss was of the view that the IBF/Africa’s campaign came at the right time when the problems of people with albinism disorder has become a cross boarder issue that no longer confided in nation anymore.

The international boxing tournament Christianize "Knock-Out-Albinos-Killers" seek to raise awareness against Albinos killings and funds to buy special sunglasses and hats for them.

The event to be promoted by LOLENGA MOCK BOXING of Aarhus, Denmark will be sanctioned by IBF/Africa, National Sports Council (NSC) and Tanzania Pro Boxing Commission.

Knock-Out-Albinos Killers seek to raise awareness of the plight of Albinos in Tanzania and also to provide special sunglasses and hats to them. Albino’s eyes lack pigment in their iris causing the sunlight to overpower their visual field.

Miss Tanzania 2012 Brigitte Alfred Foundation will be the beneficial entity that would distribute the funds and products to the Albinos community in Tanzania.

Brigitte has since joined by Miss South Africa Teen 2006 Zizo Beda and the two beauty Goddesses would join other celebrities to campaign for Albinos emancipation. Several prominent people have rallied behind this noble cause already.

Lolenga Mock the boxer cum promoter will vie for the IBF Continental Africa Light Heavyweight Title against a boxer from Malawi. In the same tournament boxers Cosmas Cheka from Tanzania would meet opponent form Uganda for the IBF Continental Africa Lightweight title.

Sammy Retta of Ethiopia will meet one of Pharaoh’s offspring Ahmed Said from the land of Pyramids Egypt for the major international Heavyweight tourney which is supported by African Union Commission and World health Organization (WHO) against Ebola.

The Ebola’s tourney was scheduled to take place in Addis Ababa Ethiopia but, has since joined the Knock-Out-Albinos Killers to give it more international image.

Persians boxers will join boxers like James Onyango from Kenya who will feature in the curtain raiser bouts against boxer Seba Temba from Tanzania. Several other big names from many African countries in boxing would also take part in the tournament.

Elsewhere: Bahamas couple Mr. and Mrs. Jim Fra Knowles are raising money to buy sunglasses in the USA and also have encourage their church a Homestead Church in Southern Florida to make this campaign parts of their Bible study in the summer.

Ms. Andrea Dalma Krizsak from Budapest, Hungary has volunteered to kick start online fundraising for this cause. Ms. Kizsak a long term Human Rights campaigner and coordinator has become a great instrumental to this campaign by advising on the way to take both in legislation and fundraiser.

The beloved family of former IBF/USBA President, Hiawatha G. Knight is rallying behind this noble cause and would make the Mt. Kilimanjaro Climb Expedition 2015 in October part of fundraiser for this cause. The Expedition aims at inscribing the name of the former IBF/USBA President on the rock on top of Mt. Kilimanjaro also known as the “Roof of Africa”.

The world’s professional boxing top-dog, the IBF/USBA would support this cause as part of their social contributions. Albinos can be boxers, ring officials, promoters, managers, boxing agents, cut men and any other experts in boxing hence the IBF/USBA involvement.

We are seeking for volunteers who will work with us to make this endeavor successful and also raise funds for special Albinos sunglasses and hats!

Mr. and Mrs Jim Fra Knowles from Bahamas said that when they saw the numerous pictures of the Tanzanian albino children, with several of them squinting due to the bright sunlight, they could imagine the chronic headaches they must endure daily.

They lack the pigment in their eyes that helps block the bright sunlight from entering their visual field. Something as simple as a pair of sunglasses would cut a great deal of glare, allowing them to stop squinting, relax their foreheads & ease their headaches.

The Knowles are saying that with a little help from my friends around the world, they feel this is a project worth under-taking for these already visually impaired albino children.

Anyone reading this article and wanting to help could purchase some DARK sunglasses in children and/or adult sizes & mail them to our address in Tanzania at Benjamin Mkapa Pension Towers, Tower B, Mezzanine Floor, Azikiwe/Jamhuri Street, Dar Es Salaam, Tanzania.
