National Nutrition Month

March is National Nutrition Month. The Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics is helping to increase awareness of the importance of nutrition and how nutrition experts, like Registered Dietitians, can help you achieve your goals.??

Here are a few quick tips to help you start your health journey.?

  • Make half your plate fruits and non-starchy vegetables, save the other half of the plate for your proteins and carbs.??
  • Watch those portion sizes.?
  • Try eating off of a smaller plate or salad plate to help limit portions.?
  • Increase your daily activity. Start with 5 minutes per day. For most of us, it is 5 minutes more than what we have been doing. Try a walk after dinner or dancing in your kitchen.?
