I am pleased to inform you the Inter-Tribal Safety Group in Southern California is taking the necessary steps to evolve into a National Association to be known as the, National Indian Casino Safety Association (NICSA).
NICSA is looking at having its first board meeting on December 14th at Viejas Resort & Casino in San Diego. I would encourage all tribal casino's and tribal gaming commissions to attend, for we will seek nominations for board members for this important board. I encourage all of you who work for a tribe, to forward this message to your risk safety people and or gaming commission staff, to make them aware of this important group and meeting.
In addition the Tribal Gaming Protection Network (TGPN) has entered into a partnership with NICSA, and fully supports this group in the industry in Indian Country. Having a culture of safety begins in changing the mentality of how each of us view safety. It starts with our thoughts, feelings and ends in our actions to make a safe environment for the guests, staff, and tribe. If you are interested please email me at [email protected] or call at 951.923.8144. ~Andrew Hofstetter. TGPN Chairman
