National Governors Association Disagree Better Campaign

It's not every day I have high praise for politicians - but Spencer Cox and Governor Jared Polis deserve Oscars for this brilliant disagree better campaign. I'm all the way over in Israel, so I'm sending them both a big virtual hug for now. Finally some real leaders, standing up and talking about the most important thing --- how we can get along here better! How to leverage moments of family time for deepening and enriching our connection by fully understanding what's on each other's heart. Instead of simply disagreeing and clashing which takes far less effort!

"Utah and Colorado compete over a lot of things – who has the better mountains, the better skiing, the better economy, etc. I think it’s Utah, and Gov. Polis thinks it's Colorado. But one thing we agree on, is that Americans need to learn how to?#DisagreeBetter?and that healthy conflict results in better policy. This year as chair and vice chair of the National Governors Association we’re setting out to do just that. We hope you’ll join us!"

I never knew there was such thing as a National Governors Association but I hope they'll invite me to their next meeting! There's so much more they can be doing in the same spirit of this campaign - and really turn everything around in their states.

It's beautiful how they did this over food - the most universal thing that connects us all - all individuals making up the global human network.

This campaign put a big smile on my face and literally restored my faith that America can still lead the world out of this crisis if it focuses on the right things.

What will those things look like? Exactly like this genius campaign.
