Texas Campaign Reaches New Milestone:Grand Prairie Launches a Network of 6 Fitness Courts Across the City

"By bringing six Fitness Courts to our city, we’re making a powerful investment in the health and wellness of every resident. This is just the beginning of our journey to create a healthier, more active Grand Prairie,” Grand Prairie Mayor, Ron Jensen

Located across each of the 6 six council districts, each Fitness Court features unique artwork by local artists, creating vibrant spaces that blend fitness, wellness, and community connection. These wellness hubs aim to reduce barriers to physical activity and promote healthier lifestyles for all residents in Grand Prairie. The city’s comprehensive 2026 Parks, Recreation, and Open Space Master Plan includes Fitness Courts as a key component of its strategy to create connected, active communities. The City of Grand Prairie intends to continue its partnership with NFC and?Blue Cross and Blue Shield of Texas?with plans for 3 additional Fitness Courts in the upcoming year for a total of 9, increasing accessibility across the community.?
