National Fair Housing Alliance Reaches Settlement With Fannie Mae On Rebuilding Communities Of Color

Hello everyone. I've had a great 24 hours of meetings here in Tulsa. The two main themes have been around family business and public-private-philanthropic partnership opportunities. There is still so much for me to learn on both fronts. I keep coming back to this idea of a business acquisition accelerator with a private equity fund on the back end to acquire businesses doing $1 million to $10 million in revenue. What I'm learning is that there are many government dollars available to private companies/funds help me with the impact focus that I want to achieve. Can't wait to continue my exploration.

The sheer volume of meetings with exceptional people has also clarified the space that I want to occupy. I think through the intersection of media/finance/education, I'll be able to organize & facilitate the flow of capital to entities that will improve the state of the Black community. Still need to think about it more, but that is where I see my career headed. We'll see how it plays out.
