JULIA GHAZI - Member of the National Club since 2018

My name is Julia Ghazi, and I am the founder of Artunis Law, a firm named after the first female commander in Persian army who fought for equality and human rights in ancient Persia. As a person born and raised in Iran, I take great pride in honoring such a remarkable woman's legacy in my practice.

As a tax lawyer, I specialize in helping clients navigate complex tax laws and regulations to minimize their tax liabilities. Whether it's finding ways to legally avoid paying taxes or reducing the amount owed, I strive to provide my clients with practical and effective solutions that align with their financial goals.

In my free time, I pursue my passion for aviation by working towards obtaining my private pilot license. While it's a long-term goal, I believe in the value of setting and achieving ambitious objectives.

Networking is an integral part of my professional success, and I place a high value on building and maintaining meaningful relationships with colleagues and clients. I believe that a strong network is critical in today's business landscape and opens up opportunities for growth and development.

What inspired you to become a member of the National Club??

Joining the National Club has been a great decision for me. I was inspired to become a member for a few reasons. First and foremost, the National Club provides excellent networking opportunities. I have met many like-minded individuals and established valuable connections with professionals from diverse industries. In addition to networking, the National Club offers fantastic opportunities for professional development, such as events, talks, and workshops. This has been a great way to enhance my skills and knowledge as a young businessperson. Furthermore, being part of the National Club has created a sense of community and support. I have had the chance to share experiences and challenges with other members, who have offered valuable advice and guidance. Lastly, the National Club also organizes social events and activities, which have been a fun way to unwind outside of work. Overall, I believe that being part of the National Club has been a fantastic way to propel my career and personal aspirations forward while being surrounded by a community of driven individuals.

What did you miss most about the National Club during the Covid lockdowns??

While I understand the necessity of lockdowns and social distancing, I truly missed being at the Club during the pandemic. I felt disconnected from my usual social circles and business networks. I look forward to reconnecting with fellow members and being part of a vibrant community of professionals.

What is your favourite occupation – if time and money were no object?

I would still choose to be a lawyer. It's essential to choose a career that aligns with your values and brings you fulfillment, regardless of external factors such as time and money.
