Jess studied History at Newcastle University and travelled around Asia before he discovered his passion for recruitment. By 2015 he had moved to London and entered the world of sales, soon moving into recruitment and meeting Codex Managing Director, Mike Jones.

???????????????Jess was one of Codex’s first employees, joining when the team was a quarter of the size it is today and was the first employee to walk the promotions pathway! Across his six years of employment, Jess has worked his way up from Consultant to Senior and Principal, until he became a Team Leader. Following this, Jess went from Manager to Commercial Manager and is now Associate Director. Clearly, Jess’ success at Codex has been significant.

???????????????Jess says that his success comes from a virtuous cycle of working hard and reaping the rewards. The more achievements – the harder he works. Being proactive in this industry is vital and Jess argues that one must forge their own way, trying every day to make things interesting in order to succeed. This appears to be Jess’ mantra in the workplace, as he aims to always be better and happier than he was yesterday!

???????????????Despite the evident personal determination, Jess says that he owes a lot to Codex and the platform the company provides to aid in progressing oneself. Managing Director, Mike, is regarded in high esteem for his consistent support and guidance, as well as his genuine desire to help his teams reach personal and work-related targets. Jess describes the culture of Codex as 'heart-warming' and as he moves over to head up our New York office in the spring we're sure he'll take that same Codex spirit with him!
