National Brain Injury Awareness Day and Month

National Brain Injury Awareness Day and Month

By: David W. Ransin

It is terribly sad and truly inspiring that our country sets aside a particular day and a full month to promote the public’s awareness of brain injury, how it can be prevented, and to recognize and support brain injury survivors.

March 3 is the day and March is the month for National Brain Injury Awareness.

Why do we do this ? Because for the most part, brain injuries can be prevented and greater awareness is an important key toward achieving that goal for everyone.

I have long served on the Board of Directors for the Brain Injury Association of Missouri to do my part to support prevention and education, and I ask that you take a few spare moments of your day, or another day this month, and learn more about this mission.

A colleague and good friend, Michael Kaplen, also specializes his law practice on brain injury cases, and has prepared a short video message that you will find interesting:

Please spread the word to help prevent brain injuries and to support the lives of brain injury survivors !

Thank you.
