National Brain Injury Awareness Day and Month

It is terribly sad and truly inspiring that our country sets aside a particular day and a full month to promote the public’s awareness of brain injury, how it can be prevented, and to recognize and support brain injury survivors.
March 3 is the day and March is the month for National Brain Injury Awareness.
Why do we do this ? Because for the most part, brain injuries can be prevented and greater awareness is an important key toward achieving that goal for everyone.
I have long served on the Board of Directors for the Brain Injury Association of Missouri to do my part to support prevention and education, and I ask that you take a few spare moments of your day, or another day this month, and learn more about this mission.
