National Aviation Authorities Meet To Evaluate Potential Coordination

On invitation of Ties van Zanten, Manager Aviation Safety Department at the Ministry of Infrastructure & Water Management, The Netherlands, and in the context of the ?Madrid Declaration? and the ?Drone REGIM? initiative, representatives of the national aviation authorities of Belgium, France, Germany, The Netherlands and Spain, as well as representatives of the Cabinet of the Minister of Mobility & Transport, Belgium and the Aviation Authority of Hamburg, Germany, will meet at the BeNeLux General Secretariat in Brussels, Belgium on 30th April 2019.
The purpose of this exploratory meeting is to discuss the potential interest of & possibilities for:
- Coordinating the national approaches relative to the implementation of the upcoming EU regulation on drones;
- Cooperation in this respect relative to the harmonization of the national approaches of the countries concerned.
UVS International, the participants in Drone REGIM, and the European drone community applaud this initiative. A successful outcome of this meeting will be a first step towards the harmonization of the national European approaches relative to the implementation of the upcoming European drone regulation.
