National Apprenticeship Week: Meet Jake Belton!

Xeinadin Group is proud to celebrate National Apprenticeship Week, a time to recognise and applaud the achievements of our talented apprentices. As part of our festivities, we're shining a spotlight on some of our successful apprentices, including Jake Belton , an Audit an Accounts Assistant.

Jake joined Xeinadin for an apprenticeship to kickstart his journey in the world of accounting. As a recent economics graduate, he found his passion for accounting during his degree. Recognising its significance as the backbone of the finance industry, he saw that "having a good knowledge of accounting puts a young employee in a good place for the future".?

During his apprenticeship, Jake sharpened his skills in interpreting financial statements and understanding the decision-making processes behind them. Conversing with clients about their financial health became second nature. These practical skills not only enhanced his technical proficiency but also prepared him for the dynamic challenges of the profession.?

Jake highlighted the contribution of his apprenticeship towards his professional development. The pursuit of the ACA qualification was an obvious factor, but equally important was the practice of regularly reflecting on his progress. This introspective approach allowed him to track his growth in ways traditional learning might not provide.?

From the beginning, where guidance was constant, Jake's role has evolved. With growing experience, he now enjoys increasing autonomy. Working on both accounts preparation and audit, he has found a balanced mixture that challenges and fulfills his professional aspirations.?

The positive work environment at Xeinadin significantly impacted Jake's work-life balance. "Colleagues are open and willing to share advice, which in turn creates a supportive atmosphere. Strong bonds with colleagues, a culture of learning, and the freedom to ask questions without resistance" contribute to Jake's overall job satisfaction and being part of a team that encourages growth and collaboration. "Regular social events have also strengthened work relationships and overall well-being".

In five years, Jake envisions himself as "a qualified accountant with a good grasp of the profession, as part of a company that has been growing and acquiring consistently for several years and becoming a force within the accounting world."??

Jake's story shows how apprenticeships can make a real difference. Join us in celebrating our apprentices and the bright futures ahead for them.?
