In aid of National Apprenticeship Week, we've been speaking to our current Apprentices, gaining insight into their Apprenticeship and role at Centrality.
Get to know Lawrence, our 1st Line Support Analyst Apprentice.
Tell us about your apprenticeship and role at Centrality.
I‘m a 1st Line Support Analyst Apprentice at Centrality. My role involves providing initial assistance and troubleshooting for users encountering technical issues. My responsibilities include user assistance, troubleshooting, issue triage and customer service.
Why did you decide to apply for your apprenticeship?
I applied for my apprenticeship because I always wanted to get into IT, and I felt that this was the best thing to do to gain IT knowledge and experience.
What were your first impressions of Centrality?
Since joining Centrality, I’ve felt that there’s a positive atmosphere throughout the business and a strong emphasis on core values, making it an excellent place to work.
What do you enjoy most about your role at Centrality?
I enjoy being able to collaborate with my colleagues and continually expand my knowledge each day. Additionally, I appreciate the social events as they provide opportunities to build stronger connections with my co-workers.
What advice would you give to someone who is considering an apprenticeship?
For anyone contemplating an apprenticeship, my suggestion would be to embrace the opportunity and have an optimistic outlook, as it will ultimately lead to a successful outcome.
What do you see yourself doing once you complete your apprenticeship? What does the future look like for you at Centrality?
Upon completing my apprenticeship, I see myself completing some Microsoft Certifications and going into a 2nd line role.
