National Apprenticeship Week 2024 kicks off

Welcome to the Leadership & Strategy Digital Briefing, and welcome to National Apprenticeship Week . According to the Office for National Statistics , UK manufacturing currently has 67,000 job vacancies. Combine that with an ageing workforce and you can understand the concerns within the sector around resource issues going forward.

Apprenticeships are, of course, a great way to address this issue and there are plenty of opportunities for individuals and businesses alike to get involved with National Apprenticeship Week 2024. See below for more details... ??

There is a distinct people and skills flavour to this Digital Briefing as we also mark the launch of Make UK 's National Manufacturing Day. Taking place later in the year, this is an opportunity for manufacturers to open their doors to schools, universities and colleges, giving them the chance to see first-hand what a career in the sector is all about.
