Nation Leading Support for Queensland Tradies
Everyone deserves to be paid for the work they do – in full, on time and every time.
That's why the Miles Government is continuing to strengthen and streamline our Project Trust Accounts to ensure that our tradies are never left high and dry.
Our nation-leading protections have stopped subbies, tradies and their families from shouldering financial responsibility because of dodgy developers who don’t pay.
But there's more work we can do.
Meaghan Scanlon MP has introduced legislation to streamline the Project Trust Account frameworks to provide further protection for those in the building and construction industry.
Because we stand behind Queensland tradies.
"The Master Plumbers’ Association of Qld welcomes the review and amendments of the framework for Project Trust Accounts. For years we have advocated for reform in this area. The bill clarifies ambiguity and supports the trust account framework. In Queensland we aim to establish the most stringent security of payment framework in the nation which is endorsed by our members."
"Project Trust Accounts have ensured more of our members have been paid on time, in full, every time. Both Master Painters Qld and our members welcome their reinforcement by the Miles Government."
"Master Electricians Australia welcomes the Miles Government’s reinforcement of support for Project Trust Accounts. Our members support Qld having the strongest security of payment framework in the country. We look forward to the expansion of the scheme to lower project thresholds."

2 周?? Absolutely! Tradies deserve to be paid fairly, on time, and without hassle. Late or missing payments have been a long-standing issue in the industry, leaving hard-working professionals struggling despite completing the job. Strengthening Project Trust Accounts is a step in the right direction—but will it be enough to ensure real accountability? ???? #FairPay #TradieRights #ConstructionIndustry

7 个月If you want older people over 60 to downsize to apartments why not subsidise the Body Corporate fees by 10% and 20% for pensioners. That would give some more incentive to free up larger 3+ bedroom homes.

1 年That is true, everyone deserves to be paid for the work they do - but the question is, why do public servants and trade unionists get paid for doing nothing
