NATA Compliance Services Provides Support at the Aircraft Electronics Association's Annual Conference

Recently, avionics professionals from around the country gathered for the Aircraft Electronics Association (AEA) International Conference & Trade Show. Held at the beautiful Gaylord Texan Resort and Convention Center in Grapevine, Texas, the conference was a mixture of educational sessions, product overviews, and exhibitors showcasing their goods and services.??

AEA’s Vice President of Government and Industry Affairs, Ric Peri provided crucial information to members on the latest regulatory updates relating to the Moderation of Special Air Worthy Certification (MOSAIC) and three proposed rules, one of which concerns drug and alcohol testing for Part 145 repair stations located outside of the United States. Mr. Peri pointed out the unlikelihood of this proposed rule passing into law since many countries do not permit drug and alcohol tests and there are no DOT-regulated labs in other countries. In addition, an announcement was made that the FAA will be participating in a podcast series with the AEA team, starting in April.??

As a long-standing partner with AEA, our team hosted two sessions on the Anti-Drug and Alcohol Misuse Program. Presented by our Marketing Communications Manager, Claudia Culmone ; and our Manager of Client Services, Alyssa Aldridge; these sessions emphasized the importance of always staying ready for a FAA inspection, provided best practices to follow as drug program managers, and highlighted how members can utilize our security and compliance platform to effectively manage their anti-drug and alcohol programs.??

Those in attendance seized the opportunity to connect with our team and hold one-on-one conversations relating to their drug and alcohol program. We were also on hand in the exhibit hall to educate the organization’s members on all the solutions within our platform and discuss how they can use it for all their compliance needs, including aviation identification and online training. Our team greatly enjoyed the ability to connect with everyone there and looks forward to the next event.?
