Nasik has been my hometown since childhood, and over the years, it has gained recognition under different names such as Wine City and a Pilgrimage site for Maharashtra. Nasik stands out from other cities due to its various unique aspects. Having observed its growth in the past 25 years, I can sense its potential for further development, especially given its convenient connectivity to Mumbai, Pune, and Aurangabad. Located just 180 km from Mumbai, Nasik can be easily accessed by road or rail.
The city has witnessed remarkable growth in multiple areas over the past decade. For instance, the number of private engineering colleges has increased from a mere one a few years ago to an impressive 33 at present. This has resulted in an annual influx of over 5,000 students graduating from these colleges. Nasik possesses an abundance of young talent, making it an ideal location for establishing businesses. Surprisingly, despite the availability of such potential, the city has yet to attract major IT industries due to various reasons. However, I am confident that Nasik presents the best alternative for large IT companies seeking a cost-effective expansion.
