Nashville Selected to Host 2025 FIFA Club World Cup

Speaking of championships, Music City is getting another spot on the world stage.

Nashville was picked as one of 11 host cities for next year’s FIFA Club World Cup Tournament, and GEODIS Park — home of Nashville Soccer Club — will be the venue for each of Nashville’s matches.

“We've had world-class soccer on our stage before, but never quite like this,” Mayor Freddie O'Connell said in a press release. “I'm so excited for our passionate soccer fans, and we can't wait to welcome the world's best teams to Music City.”

From June 15 to July 13, 32 of the world’s top teams will descend upon the United States for the first-ever edition of the global tournament. Each of the six international soccer confederations — Asian Football Confederation (AFC) (Asia), Confederation Africaine de Football (CAF) (Africa), CONCACAF (North and Central America, Caribbean), CONMEBOL (South America), Oceania Football Confederation (Oceania) and UEFA (Europe) — will be represented.

Nashville is quite familiar with world-class soccer as the home for Nashville SC since the club began its time in Major League Soccer in 2020. That attention has grown continuously in recent years, including from the visit of Lionel Messi when Inter Miami CF took on Nashville SC right here at GEODIS Park, and the presence of FIFA and its participating clubs will certainly continue the upward trend.

The Nashville Stars look forward to welcoming FIFA and all participating clubs to Music City as they showcase their championship in one of our nation’s — and our world’s — champion sites.
