Nashville International Airport Keeps Flying Higher with Another Banner Year
Nashville Stars Baseball Club
Deeply rooted in Tennessee’s rich baseball history, we are committed to bringing Major League Baseball to Music City.
The 2023-24 fiscal year for Nashville International Airport - BNA came to a close on June 30, carrying with it another new high mark of passengers ushered through the airport’s doors.
More than 23.7 million passengers traveled through BNA during the 2023-24 fiscal year — an average of nearly 65,000 passengers per day — which represents a growth of 8.4% over the 2022-23 fiscal year. That’s also more than double the mark from 10 years ago, when the airport welcomed 10.6 million passengers during the 2013-14 fiscal year.
The 2023-24 fiscal year at BNA finished with a flourish, thanks to a single-month record of 2.36 million passengers in June 2024, a 14.2% jump over June 2023.
The airport continues to grow to meet the growing demand, having just completed a $1.5 billion expansion project which included the opening of a Hilton hotel on airport property. Additional plans will increase the number of gates from 54 to 70, with additional discussions now in progress for an evaluation on where to build a second airport terminal.
Thanks to Nashville’s expansive sports, music and tourism scene, and the constant growth of corporations arriving to and expanding within Music City — bringing with them waves of new residents — the airport has become a hotbed for those eager to live in and enjoy Nashville. The Nashville Stars look forward to welcoming fans into BNA for Major League Baseball games as a focal point of their future trips to Music City.
