NASBA-approved, free CPE Ethics Courses
The Paychex Accountant Knowledge Center (AKC) offers NASBA-approved, online, self-study CPE Ethics Courses in a select number of states through our partners at CCH. We currently have 8 state-specific CPE courses available:
· CA: Conduct and Ethics Requirements for California Accounting and Auditing Professionals – 4 credits
· CO: Colorado Ethics – an Overview for Accountants - 4 credits
· FL: Florida Ethics – An Overview for Accountants - 4 credits
· NC: North Carolina Ethics - An Overview for All Accountants - 4 credits
· NY: Professional Ethics for New York CPAs: Ethical Foundations (Second Edition) – 4 credits
· OH: Ohio Ethics: Professional Standards and Responsibilities – 3 credits
· TN: Ethics for Tennessee CPAs – 2 credits
· TX: Ethics: An Overview for Texas CPAs – 4 credits
In addition, 2 general Ethics CPE courses are also offered, and can apply for CPE credit in other states:
1. AICPA Code of Professional Conduct (Third Edition) – 2 credits
2. Ethical Principles Applied to Financial Statement Issues - 2 credits
Accountants and CPAs will need to register for AKC (if not already done) - and then separately request access to the online CPE library. Then they’ll be able to take up to 5 CPE courses per year at no cost. (Yes – we said FREE!)
Every state has different CPE requirements and deadlines. Many are December 31, making year-end a busy CPE catch-up time, prior to tax season. So here is an early Holiday gift from Paychex !
