Virgin PSF is made from Polyester melt out of chemicals PTA & amp; MEG and is the most commonly used type of PSF. Recycled PSF is made from post-consumer and post-industrial polyester waste. PSF is available in various lustre like Semi Dull (SD), Optical White (OPW), Bright, Optical Bright and in colours like Black, Green, Blue and many more. PSF can be customized as per the need of downstream industry of spinning, weaving and knitting.
PSF fineness is measured in Denier and it is cut in various length from 28 mm and up to 102 mm for various applications. The denier refers to the diameter of each fibre ranging from micro 0.6d (finer) to 15d which is on the coarser side. The finer fibres range from 0.6d to 1.5d typically used in wearable like shirting, suiting, dress material, socks, ladies tops, bottoms, etc. While coarser fibre from 1.7d and above goes for non-wearable like home textiles, filling material, industrial applications like car roofing, upholstery, geotextiles, non-woven applications like medical sheets, wipes etc.
