Narrative Play
Storytelling! We did a project in my class at?the d.School with Scholastic Books all around how to get young kids to be lifelong readers and to love reading. A fascinating insight was that some parents stopped reading to their kids once the child could read on their own, vs other parents continued to read as long as the child stayed interested. They would change the content to stay interesting which prompted good discussions. Another interesting insight was to make a cozy reading “nook” at home which promotes reading. Many kindergartens have cozy reading nooks. This is my home collection of books on play and the toy industry.
Here to listen, learn, connect and reflect.
