1.5 years ago, we launched Narrative BI .

2000+ growth teams worldwide have used it to make sense of their data. But we didn't stop there, though.

We took feedback and usage data from those 2,000 teams and made 20 major improvements to launch Narrative BI 2.0.

We started as an alerting tool for Google Analytics and were named Product of the Week on Product Hunt .

Today, Narrative BI is a generative analytics platform that helps growth teams get automated insights from their data.

Here are 20 things that made this transition possible:

1) Getting insights about website traffic is helpful. But our users wanted to see how their advertising campaign performed.

So, we added Google Ads and Facebook to our platform.

2) Many of our customers are marketing agencies, so they wanted to manage multiple campaigns simultaneously.

Now our users can create multiple workspaces for different marketing campaigns/clients and get relevant narratives, as every workspace contains a dedicated feed of insights.

3) Staying on top of changes in your digital marketing data can be overwhelming.

That's why we introduced scheduled and automated reports. Now you can get custom reports on your primary metrics daily, weekly, or monthly.

4) Most of our users already switched to Google Analytics 4. They wanted to enhance the value of their GA4 implementation.

So we introduced new types of insights on customer interactions with your marketing funnel, providing context across GA4 dimensions and metrics.

5) Our customers wanted to see which ad campaigns perform well and which require attention.

We introduced AI-powered Ad Performance insights with actionable recommendations to help you optimize your ad spending and improve overall campaign performance.

6) Most of our customers are non-engineers and don’t want to depend on IT departments when they simply need insights.

So we made the onboarding even easier: setting up your account and getting your first insights takes less than two minutes.

7) Our customers wanted to ensure their content marketing efforts paid off.

Now you can track specific landing pages like a signup page and receive alerts to ensure you stay on track with your growth goals.

8) Many users wanted to streamline their workflow and stay on top of their marketing performance daily.

So we built a Slack integration.

9) Although our users enjoyed the simple onboarding, one-size-fits-all metrics are not a solution. Each company has its own growth goals.
