Napa's Latest Hotel News

Napa, California is set to have a brand new hotel open this fall, but here’s the kicker. It’s not just any hotel – this is the Four Seasons Resort and Residences Napa Valley which has its own winery on-site and vineyard. Located in Calistoga (about a 1.5 hour drive from the Bay Area), the property will offer farmhouse-style accommodations, a farm-to-table dining program and vineyard experiences.

The vineyard, which consists of 5.5 acres, is operated by famed winemaker Thomas Rivers Brown and is known for its cabernet sauvignon. In 2010 Brown received twenty-three 100-point scores for his cabernet sauvignon projects by wine critic Robert Parker Jr; in 2010, he was named “Winemaker of the Year” by Food & Wine magazine.

The signature restaurant among things will feature a living room, chef’s table and al fresco dining with views of the vineyards and Palisades Mountains.

Lastly, the Four Seasons will offer The Estate Villa, which is available in various configurations from one to three bedrooms. Guests can expect among the amenities a private garden with a swimming pool, a fireplace and media room.

In Yountville, the five-star Bardessono has debuted three new villas, known as The Maple Grove Villas. The featured amenity is the oversized en-suite bathroom that doubles as a private spa for in-room treatments. Additionally, the villas have stocked wine fridges, gas fireplaces and outdoor “cocktail pools” with lounge seating. Guests who reserve all three villas as a full retreat will receive complimentary use of a hybrid Lexus. Note the hotel is within walking distance of the famed award-winning French Laundry.
