What if the tiniest of parts could revolutionize industries and transform the way we live?

In this new episode of The Third Angle podcast, we explore the cutting-edge technology of NanoVoxel Gmbh . We had the pleasure of meeting founder Domenico Foglia in their Austrian HQ, to hear about how their incredible feats of micromanufacturing have created an entire castle crafted on a pencil tip.

?

Precision at a microscopic scale

NanoVoxel was born in May 2022, and since then they have been on the bleeding edge of micro-manufacturing, making miniscule parts for a range of industries. While walking through their state-of-the-art laboratories, founder Domenico Foglia talked to us about the possibilities of Nanovoxel technology.

"NanoVoxel represents a leap forward in material science. Its ability to create structures at a microscopic level opens doors to innovations that were once considered purely science fiction."

"We're on the brink of a transformation. Nanovoxel isn't just a technological innovation; it’s a paradigm shift in how we approach problem-solving at the molecular level."

Changing the future for the better

Whilst Domenico was showing us test creations like the detailed castle printed on the tip of a pencil, he also explained the pivotal role of nanotechnology in the modern age.

“We are working on microneedles, we are working on new endoscopes which can do analysis of veins because they are so small that they can fit inside. They can go up to brains or inside the heart. I have a clear view of the impact that we are having in this world.

With its potential for enhanced efficiency, reduced costs, and innovative solutions, Nanovoxel is set to be a key player in the technological advancements of the future.

The Role of PTC's Onshape in Supporting NanoVoxel’s Design and Manufacturing

To help with their manufacturing and design process, NanoVoxel uses Onshape by PTC , the first and only cloud-native product development platform that delivers professional-grade CAD capabilities with next-generation product data management, powering agile design processes at lower costs. Jon Hirschtick from PTC elaborates on this.?

“Onshape was chosen for its cloud native features. We enable simultaneous editing, real time feedback, efficient collaboration and reduced design time were essential for maintaining productivity and meeting a whole bunch of diverse needs.”
