Nanhua Singapore attends Singapore International Ferrous Week 2024

Singapore International Ferrous?Week 2024 kicked off on 6 May, with more than 1,300 industry leaders and professionals from some 18 countries gathering in Singapore to kick off a week-long event that underscores the global importance of the iron ore and shipping industries.

The Opening Ceremony featured the Minister of State for Trade and Industry and Culture, Community and Youth Affairs of the Republic of Singapore, the Mayor of the South Western District, and the Member of Parliament for the Choa Chu Kang Constituency, Mrs Liu Yan Ling, as the Guest of Honour at the event, whose speech highlighted Singapore's unique position as a major global commodities trading centre, with a particular emphasis on innovation and sustainability in the iron ore industry. Loo Boon Chye, Chief Executive Officer of SGX, spoke about the rapid rise of iron ore as Asia's first global commodity, and the role of SGX Commodities in developing its role as a global trade and economic indicator. Dignitaries from the embassies of Australia, India, Indonesia and the People's Republic of China came together in a lively and enthusiastic atmosphere.?

In addition, Nanhua Singapore also actively participated in the Singapore Green Steel Forum to discuss with industry experts on strategies to cope with the volatile commodities market.
