NamX - A Hydrogen-Powered SUV Disrupting the EV Landscape?

Leading the Charge in Sustainable Transportation

NamX, a rising startup, is making waves in the automotive industry with its innovative hydrogen-powered SUV. Their focus on addressing critical sustainability issues associated with traditional electric vehicles (EVs) has garnered them recognition, including a recent win in the Mobility and Smart City category at VivaTech in Paris.

NamX's Key Differentiators

  • Diversity Drives Innovation: Led by founder Faouzi ANNAJAH and partnered with the renowned Pininfarina design house, NamX fosters a team rich in cultural and professional backgrounds, fueling their creativity and groundbreaking approach.
  • Greener Alternative: NamX's hydrogen capsule system offers a potential solution to the environmental impact of cobalt and lithium extraction heavily relied upon in conventional EV batteries. Each capsule can be conveniently swapped, refueled, or shipped.
  • Quick Refueling, Extended Range: NamX's hydrogen capsules can be refueled in minutes, significantly reducing downtime compared to traditional charging stations. The internal tank stores 5kg of hydrogen and the 6 capsules each hold an additional 0.5?kg. The total of 8kg hydrogen storage claims a driving range totaling 800km.

The NamX's patented hydrogen capsule technology is a world first and a major innovation
The NamX's patented hydrogen capsule technology is a world first and a major innovation.

  • Reduced Carbon Footprint: By utilizing hydrogen, NamX aims to significantly cut CO2 emissions, contributing to a cleaner environment for all.
  • Building a Sustainable Ecosystem: NamX goes beyond the vehicle itself. Their vision includes developing a comprehensive ecosystem around hydrogen capsules and streamlining refueling and maintenance processes for a seamless user experience. This includes the CapXtore.

THE Hydrogen Station Of The Future

  • .Future-Proof Technology: As hydrogen technology continues to evolve, NamX's infrastructure is designed to adapt, ensuring long-term sustainability and relevance in the ever-changing mobility landscape.

The Hydrogen Revolution

Several automotive giants, like Audi with their H-Tron concept back in 2016, the BMW iX5 Hydrogen, or Renault with the Scenic Vision concept car, are also exploring hydrogen technology, highlighting its potential as a key driver in sustainable transportation.

While NamX isn't the only player in the hydrogen game, their new innovative capsule system with quick swapping and extended range sets them apart.

NamX originally started with a fuel cell to generate electricity from hydrogen, they have since then switched to a hydrogen combustion engine from solution F.
