Namma Bengaluru- We love it!!

Namaskara Bengaluru?!!!

While I normally keep these aspects personal, I was quite disappointed by how people all over, type caste this city for traffic woes inspite of gaining substantial benefits. My intent of this post is to reflect the sentiments of several thousands of people who have fallen in love with?Bengaluru over the years and have made it their home.

I have been living in this city since 2005 and we have seen an unprecedented growth because of IT. We call this city as Silicon Valley of India because of the great talent pool and think tank available.

I have not only made Bengaluru my home since 2005?but also started TaUB Solutions company along with my co-founder on Nov 1, 2014 (Karnataka Rajyotsava?day)?

Namma Bengaluru boasts the highest level of start up companies in India.?While we dissect the traffic aspects in greater detail, we don’t give the right credit that is due for this city.?

Here are my top 4 reasons on why Namma Bengaluru is unbeatable?

1. Weather : While popularly called as the retirement paradise, every one who has lived in this city would admit the pleasant weather all through the year. I have never seen any other place that has seen more showers during the summer season.?We don’t have humidity and I know a lot of people who wouldn’t trade off this city inspite of coming from other places in India to make a living

2. Entrepreneurship Mindset:?Over the last 15 years , I have had the good fortune to interact with some of the best minds who have brought about the radical change in moving out of comfort zone and fixed jobs to pursue their dreams. As a first generation entrepreneur, I would attribute that my dreams were made a reality based on the support, thought leadership and collaboration. So if you are planning to kick start your entrepreneurship journey, there is no better place to begin.

3. Power of People:?

?????I am a staunch believer of the philosophy that high performing teams are built by ordinary people who do ordinary things extraordinary well. This is only possible when you have a single minded purpose.?We have had people who volunteer relentlessly in terms of?Renewing lakes (Anand Malligavad), partner with authorities to make progression in the respective locations) and embrace wholeheartedly people all over inspite of difference in language, religion, customs by building great communities

“We must find time to stop and thank the people who make a difference in our lives.” ―John F Kennedy?

4. Job opportunities and Salaries: Bengaluru as an IT hub has attracted all companies to have an office in Bengaluru. This gives a tremendous opportunity for IT professionals to leverage opportunities with global companies. Also If you are working in IT, you stand to gain one of the highest paid salaries in this city and it is also the reason you have the best talent reside at the IT hub.???????????????????

Get to the reality of Traffic and infrastructure woes

I definitely agree that we have a lot to do to address infrastructure bottlenecks and traffic and we hope with metros in mind we might see some respite but we have accepted the situation and have managed to live peacefully by doing the following things

a. Applying the Theory of Constraints ( ToC) and trying?to address the situation firsthand?

b. Starting early to office or places you need to visit as early at 7/8 am and return preferable between 3-4 pm ( these are the best times to beat the traffic)

c. Finding a place of residence closer to the place of work has helped lot of people?

d. With the work from home option, you can pick and choose the dates to travel early and comeback

e. If you are a visitor to the city, develop enough patience to appreciate the overall beautifulness of the city?and not be bogged about traffic. This aspect should not affect your overall experience of the city

So in summary we don’t gain anything by cribbing about the traffic and infrastructure bottlenecks.?You have a choice.

Every city in India has its own constraints and we don’t want to compare and make it as a debate. We want to just make it clear that we love this city and it’s energy and we have lot more to gain only when you are open minded, receptive and have the will to be happy?

Let’s bring more positivity to Bengaluru and give the city the due it deserves.

If you live in Bengaluru, can you tell me under the comments section on what do you like the most in this city?

Dhanyavadagalu! #NammaBengaluru #ITHub #SiliconValley #Entrepreneurship #Communities #PowerofPeople #IloveBlr #BangaloreFan
