LinkedIn has recently rolled out a new feature ‘Name Pronunciation’.
The feature is found ?? next to your name field once you have recorded it.
?? As I discovered, when I checked out various LinkedIn Profiles, many people, as well as pronouncing their name, have added a short introduction to who they are and/or what they do.
?? Some have added music to the mix.
?? As mentioned you have 10 of seconds of audio to engage with your LinkedIn Profile visitor, ‘right in front of their nose.’
?? At this point in time, you can only record it on LinkedIn’s Android or iOS mobile app.
However, recordings are accessible on both desktop and mobile.
Here is desk top profile with the Name Pronunciation icon.
It is easy to record. Go to your mobile app (make sure its updated), open your profile photo to View and the name pronunciation’ section.
Press and hold the recording button. Listen back to check if ok or re-record. Then save.
