Welcome to The Mind Gym - your 3 minute weekly mental workout to elevate your mind...
Warm-Up:
Spend a moment calling back your energy and power and declare that today will be a great day.
Main Exercise:
In the words of Kanye West ‘name one genius that ain’t crazy’
He’s right though. Can you think of one?
Maybe the lyrics sparked these thoughts but recently I’ve been thinking that being crazy and being ok with being crazy is actually a huge advantage.
When I get given advice that begins with the words ‘most people’ - I disregard what is being said and go do the complete opposite. The best in the world have only got where they are by defying the logic of the culture. I can’t help but think that all the current ‘rising trends’ will become overpopulated and undifferentiated. Being crazy and doing something different is therefore the way to go.
My goal in life is to be the most ME possible and to be the best possible version of ME I can be. I have zero interest in being ‘most people.’ Expressing yourself fully, being authentic and exploring your genuine curiosities are goals that will result in lots of personal fulfilment - but to do this you have to ignore what the world advises you to do.
So this is your reminder that being crazy is not only ok - but maybe the best thing you could be. Think of one idea you had but then didn’t do because you said ‘this might be a little mad’ and go make it happen this week.

Mindset PT:
I was chatting to my friend and Tik Tok legend JT Barnett a couple of weeks ago. Apart from it being an inspirational chat, it was really refreshing to hear how he manages to work heavily in the world of social media and still maintain balance... something I am still working on. Having some boundaries, being able to switch-off and re-charge are key to our long term clarity and focus - even if in the short-term we think we can get away with working all hours. Do you have the right balance in your life currently?
Warm-Down:
If I want to be on track to achieve X in 10 years, what do I need to do today?

Hope you enjoyed your mental workout! ??
